Devata is a Family movie written by Gulzar and directed by S. Ramanathan. Sanjeev Kumar as Tony and Shabana Azmi as Tony's daughter Mary has been casted in the movie. When Mary was refused by her college friend to marry when she was pregnant, he was killed accidentally by Tony. Police was in search of Tony for the murder. Mary gives birth to a daughter, Lily, and lives with Dr. Shambhunath and his wife. After many years Tarun Kumar meets Mary and introduces himself as Tony. Mary became happy but unfortunately, Police Inspector Lawrence also recognizes him. Will Tony surrender to police or run away once again?
